Butlins!

Butlins 2011 - Part 7

After breakfast we headed back to the chalet and I thought since it was the last full day I could capture some of the main features of Butlins, that have been there ever since I was little. The accommodation, fair, Skyline Pavilion, arcade, beach, breakfast areas, nursery, outdoor and indoor play areas.

Later on after swimming, I asked my family for a photo outside the skyline pavilion, despite the fact I took about ten photos, this one was the best one. The wind was blowing quite hard so that's why everyone looks a bit windswept. Also mum and dad were talking at the time even though I'd told them off a few times, but ah well, it's a good photo nonetheless. Then of course my auntie suggested a photo of me with my sis and parents, as it was 'one of the first family holidays without Chris'.

Then just before we went into the 'end of Butlins holiday show' I noticed the beautiful evening sunset as we walked from the chalet to the skyline. I know my best friend loves sunsets so I just had to capture this moment especially for her.

Butlins 2011 - Part 6

After taking two days out of my holiday for myself, without my camera and just simply spending time with the family. On Thursday morning, our 7th day of our Butlins holiday, my camera was back in business. Starting the day with the traditional morning walk with my cousins, we made our way to the sandy football pitch where they of course wanted to play football.

Typically I was wearing the wrong shoes to play football as it was quite hot that morning, so I sat at the side chearing on both teams. Just as our parents arrived I was in the middle of takening a photo of the blue morning sky.

Mum came and sat near me and I filled her in on scores, once we were all hungry we left for breakfast. Passing the Volkswagen bus and Beach chair scenary, Claire, Mum and Dad had wanted some photos taken on both especially Dad. So I thought I might as well do them as we where here and it was such a gorgeous day.

Butlins 2011 - Part 3

After the Loony Toons show we had lunch and then made our way over to the New Giant Beach Corner. An incredible adventure for those who like to express there photography skills and talents. The area is open to everyone who is within the resort and was supposedly given to Butlins by a giant, for the use of enjoyment and family fun. Again the aspect of the story is aimed at children, but what a wonderful set. All these photos are taken without any direction from me, we simply expressed the love, unity, fun, devotion and wildness of who we are as a family...

....and that's just it no matter what people think or say the Johnson Family is an awesome family to be not only a member of, but 'I'm' certainly proud of....

Butlins it's a magical place!

....and at heart I will always be a Johnson not only in this life, but in the next and forever ♥

Butlins 2011 - Part 1

After 3 years missing out on our yearly reunion with the family at Butlins we finally made it this year. No matter which Butlins Resort we go to they all feel like home, well I've always viewed it as my second home ever since I was little. The best part, as it says on the advert is coming back year after year after year. Growing up watching each campus blossom with people and activities makes each holiday even better.

For the first three days it was just me, my sister, my mum and my dad, the rest of the family would arrive on the fourth day to join us.When I was 5, me, my brother and my dad would take morning walks through the campus enjoying the peace and quiet. You would see staff adding the final touches to the breakfast areas and shops getting ready for the day ahead. It was such an event for us as a family to go on morning walks we made it a tradition. So here are some photos of just me and Claire taking the morning walk on Butlins 2011 Holiday.

Moving on.....

As you may have noticed I've tweaked bits of my blog here and there, this is mainly because I have a brand new camera which I have previously told you about. I have moved on from my small simple silver digital camera and is now in possession of an SLR digital camera. I loved it at first sight and has since been saving up for one and well now I have it.

The colour 'Beige' which I have incorporated into my blog is a resemblance of my growth and love for photography. Brand new and improved photos will start to appear and I hope those of you who check out my blog will enjoy them as much as I do. Through this I hope you can also see the passion I have for this area of art.
