Prom Princess: Double Rainbow

Chapter 4.
Double Rainbow

Not much later, Claire's best friend Bethan arrived in a beautiful dress lined with layers of different coloured material, complemented with a white and silver Venetian mask. Polishing off her prom look she wore silver glittered heals and curled hair pinned to the side leaving the hair to drape over her left shoulder.

Both looking beautiful and both with high excited spirits, looking forward to their evening together, commemorating the end of a very short part of their lives and moving on to begin their next. The best part about it all is they get to share it together, as soul sisters, as best friends just like a double rainbow.

Moments like these are often brushed aside or not celebrated as much as they should be. Proms, Balls, Grades or Graduations are all put in place to cherish, recognise and celebrate our achievements. I'm just so happy that I was able to photograph these stunning ladies before they went off to enjoy their special celebratory evening.

A beautiful end and beautiful beginning!

The End.

Exams are over!

So it was exam results day for my little sister and her best friend. Coming out of their 2nd to last year of school and then entering there very last year of school the following week.

Once collecting their results Claire and her friend Bethan (also featured here) both wanted to do something to just relax after all their hard work. I knew my best friend Katie really wanted to test out her brand new camera so I thought it was the perfect opportunity for her.

I put forward my suggestion to Claire and Bethan and they were happy with whatever. So we headed on down to Fosse Recreation Ground (also known as Fosse Park) and took some shots of Claire, Bethan and Katie.

Bethan and Claire - Mini Session

You all know my sister Claire, well here friend Bethan or should I say Best Friend had previously on a numerous amount of occasions mentioned that she wanted a photo shoot by me with my sister Claire. I was happy to do so but just didn't have the time in between all my collage course work. But then when receiving my exam paper I just had the perfect opportunity for them to be my models and squeeze in a mini shoot.

They've been best friends for as long as I can remember and they've definitely grown to become beautiful young women. There friendship and love for each other reminds me of my own best friend and how how awesome it is to have that special person in your life that you can always turn to for help, guidance or even just a hug.

Just some things you might want to know about these girls:
- Both are aged 15 going on 16
- Both have been in the same schools from the age of 4
- Both love Harry Potter and The Twilight Saga
- Both enjoy being themselves
- Both strive to achieve their hopes and dreams
- Both are very dedicated to Katy Perry...
...and both are official Katy Cats (if you don't know who or what that means just drop by there facebook or twitter pages and ask them for yourself they might not bite but they'll certainly kill you with kindness)

In the midst of all that was going on during this mini shoot some how I managed to make a slight error which the girls neither noticed either. But we had a laugh when looking back at the photos. You will find that in the 2nd and 3rd photo it states 'Kitty Cats!' on the piece of paper which both girls are holding, This should actually say 'Katy Cat!'.
Enjoy!

Thanks for all your hard work and I loved working with you!

Photoshop

As a typical photographer would do, they'd take more than one shot to try and capture the best composition they can. When choosing their best shots they then get to work. Putting their absolute very best into each photo, helping to create the right feel and atmosphere they want to get from the shot.

As I come so close to the end of processing the photos for this shoot, I spent 2 hours and 34 mins today on this one photo trying to see if there was any use for it. Not getting the right aperture needed for a shot, can effect the image when stored in your camera. So after much time and patience I saved this photo through Photoshop and if it wasn't for this software this photo would have simply been deleted.

Thank you Photoshop!
